As the Secretary General of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), I am delighted to launch the consolidated ENUW website portal for the series of e-Navigation Underway (ENUW) conferences, including e-Nav Underway international, e-Nav Underway North-America and e-Nav Underway Asia-Pacific.

IALA has established a tripartite of e-Nav Underway Conferences for the world to see. This includes the e-Nav Underway international which was created in 2012 in collaboration with the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA); the creation of ENUW North-America in 2012 in collaboration with United States Coast Guard (USCG) and; the creation of ENUW Asia-Pacific in 2017 in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) of the Republic of Korea. These series of e-Nav Underway have made and continue to make significant contributions to the development of e-Navigation.

Previously, the series of e-Nav Underway have been operating standalone website network databases in which data gathered requires cohesion and unity. The consolidated e-Nav Underway website has been designed and developed with a close focus on global digitization and harmonized e-Nav Underway platform through close cooperation among IALA, DMA, USCG and MOF since 2017.

By integrating the information of each conference and standardizing the website of each e-Nav Underway Conference, the newly opened website will provide users with convenient access to a wealth of information and knowledge on e-Navigation all in a consolidated place

In addition, the consolidated e-Nav Underway website is expected to help facilitate the implementation and further development of e-Navigation through the promotion of mutual coordination and cooperation between the tripartite of e-Nav Underway Conferences.
